2014 REVIEW

I can't believe 2014's over already! it went by so fast but looking back at it so many amazing things happened! for me 2014 started off pretty stressful because not only did I have to get a short film done, I also had to find a company where I wanted to serve my internship at!
gladly everything turned out great, despite all the last-minute decisions I had to make. The film got done and received some great reviews, I found an internship position and a place to live for the summer, moved to said place in Cologne and started working at the animation studio I picked out. at first it was strange to be so far away from home (the journey from my hometown to Cologne takes about 8 hours) but I didn't even have time to feel homesick or sad.

a lot of people were there to help me in this time and I'm really glad to have so many friends who got my back and support me the way they do! most of all yuminica and her family! we've been in contact over dA for about five years and my internship gave us the chance to meet up and spend almost every weekend of the summer together! I'm still so thankful for your hospitality and the fun we had together! thanks to you Cologne got more like a 2nd home than I could ever imagine! <3

I'm also thankful for all my nice colleagues and friends at my internship at Trickstudio Lutterbeck! I learned so many things, not only about animation, but also about how a studio like this functions and about working together as a team. I think I should've been a little more confident and talked to people in the first month but apart from that I've had the greatest summer ever and I enjoyed every second of it!

living in Cologne for these 6 months also gave me the chance to do things I probably wouldn't have done if I was still at home in Bavaria (because there's literally nothing big going on in my hometown :'D)
I went to a WWElive show in Rotterdam (which was also my first ever all alone trip to the Netherlands), had the chance to meet up with SgtRumpel and be part of his Âlendia reading (and duuude it was so much fun!), then another trip to the Netherlands to visit nienkiepinkie and spend an amazing weekend with her and her family! (srsly, I'm so glad we became friends and had such great time!) and GamesCom of course! I bet this year's convention was one of the best I've ever been to : D

with so many amazing things happening the whole summer the last few months of 2014 seem a little dull but I still enjoyed them! I went back to college after my internship was done (yeah, lots of tears were shed and I still miss working there every day )': ) but being involved in a new animation project for school soon cheered me up and I went to another WWElive show with my brother and dad, spent some long due weekends with ArachniDank and recently payed Cologne another visit to join the Christmas party at my former internship place and spend time with Yuminica.

so, lots of fun, adventures and new stuff happened this year!
I hope your 2014 has been as colorful as mine (I guess that's the right word to describe all the things I experienced this year!)
